PYWL League • Commissioner: Lucy Stowe • Referee Chairman: Randall Stowe • 15-Team League • All meets classified as scrimmages • Head Gear and mouth guard for dental work Mandatory • Periods are 1-1-1 • Scrimmages are Friday nights (possible Sundays) • End of season Regional Tournament • Gloucester Gaters • Grafton Grapplers • Greenbrier Wrestling Club • Lancaster Red Devils • Mathews Blue Devils • Middlesex Chargers • New Kent Jr. Trojans • Newport News Cobras • Raider Nation (requested) • SYWC Panthers • Pin-2-Win • PoquosonIslanders • Williamsburg Hornets • York Eagles • York Tabbmanians

Coaches • MUST: • Sign a “Letter of Conduct” • If the rules are violated the coach can be removed from the league • Grievance committee will have final decisions on all letter of conduct violations during the season. • Be responsible for their team’s parents. • Parents not permitted to go on the mats (except in case of an injury) or to the scorers table. • Only the coach is allowed to approach the table.

  4. Pairing scrimmages • PYWL Criteria: • Weight +/- 5lbs • Age +/- 1yr • Experience (0 & 2) • 0 can only wrestle 0’s • 2 can wrestle = 2’s • Pin-2-Win Experience Setting Rules • Commissioner with Head Coach will set each • May be adjusted up throughout the season as needed Experience Descriptions 0 Skill = Rookie - K-5th can be rookie for 2 years - 6-8th can only be a rookie for 1 year 2 Skill = Veteran

  5. Waiver matches • Matches outside of the criteria may be waivered • Form Requires: • Coaches Signature • Parent Signature • Pin-2-Win Waiver Rules • Coaches need to handle ALL waiver matches • No parent may wrestle their child without coaches approval

  6. Regional tourney • Normally held Gloucester High School • No skill sets used • Usually 3rd weekend of March • Friday: Pee-Wee /Bantam • Saturday am – Midgets • Saturday pm – Novice/Schoolboy/Cadets • PYWL places top 4 • Custom PYWL Medal • Teams required to volunteer and donate for hospitality • Hospitality: P2W Usually work Breakfast on Saturday • Tables: P2W Works 1 Table Friday & Saturday

  7. Matchmaker software • Unique to PYWL • Designed by Williamsburg WC on Excel • Pretty easy to use • Creates good “first pass” • Still requires manual massage to get best results • Will auto-create: • Bouts Sheets for each Match • Wall Sheets with Match-ups • Wrestler matrix to mat/bout #
