  2. Introduction What is pandas called Lifespan A panda can live up to 10 to 20 years in the wild. But in zoos they can live up to 25 to 30 years old. • Scientific name is : Ursusmelanoleucas. • Its real name is Panda.

  3. What do Pandas Look Like Head Body Pandas can weigh over 200 pounds Pandas stomach is white and the out side of the stomach is black Pandas are 6 feet tall They have short arms, legs and shoulders • The color of the hair is black and white • The pandas eyes, nose and ears are all black

  4. Habitat • It lives in China and at least 80% of the habitat for giant panda is in China. There are tsunamis, and earthquakes that destroy or damage their habitat • People are cutting down their bamboo and if they do not have bamboo they will die • They live in mountains in the forest

  5. Climate • Pandas live in mountains in China • It is hot and cold at the same time • So it is in the middle • The mountains are called Schuan and Shaax

  6. Landforms • Pandas live in China and there are earth quakes and tsunamis • It gets damaged a lot • They make their homes in bamboo forest • Lots of people are cutting down bamboo so they might die

  7. Babies In a few weeks after the babies are born the mother goes to find bamboo, the baby cries to keep themselves warm. One baby is born at a time. For two years the mom will stay with her cub. When twin are born the weaker one dies.

  8. Prey And Predator Prey Predator Pandas mostly eat bamboo but they will eat bugs • Pandas are eaten by leopards, foxes, and wild wolves

  9. Food • Pandas eat bamboo • Pandas get their food in China • Pandas eat bamboo stems and bamboo leaves • These big animals eat up to 45 pounds of bamboo each day • They will eat 12 to 15 hours a day.

  10. actual Behavior Adaptations Pandas can swim very well so they can cool down Giant pandas are very good at climbing because they need to get away from predators Pandas sleep in hidden places so they are not eaten behaviors • Pandas have a very slow pace • Pandas some times eat bugs and it helps them to go faster • Pandas are able to sleep in any position • Pandas don’t hurt they just eat bamboo • They sleep 19 hours a day

  14. When Were Pandas Discovered • Pandas where discovered in 1869 • They stared zoos for pandas in 1916 • The first zoo person was Hugo Weigold

  15. Fun Facts My sweet baby • Pandas diet is bamboo • Pandas blood is very warm • They can not see or hear until they are 5 years old
