  3. Programs and Printers • Install University software from the Program Installer • Set up your printers • Printer name is on the printer • Instructions on the IT Help website • PowerPoint templates: go.le.ac.uk/pptemplates

  4. Secure File Storage • Secure, backed-up file storage available • Personal Z: drive • File space available is 10GB • Shared Departmental X: drive • Research R: drive • Information security training compulsory for all staff • Access from Blackboard

  5. Blackboard • Virtual Learning Environment • Login with your University IT account on or off-campus: blackboard.le.ac.uk • See the Blackboard help pages • go.le.ac.uk/blackboardhelp

  6. University Email • Your email address is username@le.ac.uk • Contains your email, calendar, contacts and task list • Mailbox storage is 500MB • On campus: use Outlook 2010 • Off campus: webmail.le.ac.uk • Connect your email to your smart phone

  7. Eduroamwifi • Connect your laptop or phone to eduroam wi-fianywhere on campus • wifi.le.ac.uk • Use your University IT account email address and password to connect • Can use this at many other eduroam enabled Universities and institutions worldwide

  8. Off-campus • Use MyFiles to get to your personal Z: drive • www.le.ac.uk/myfiles • Get programs at discounted prices for your home computer e.g. Microsoft Office • Leicester Digital Library: access eBooks, journals and databases • ezproxy.lib.le.ac.uk
