  4. Thursday, 10/25/18 Journal 2.4 – Describe the predicament of Russia, and how it compares to Victorian England. Why was England so much better off?

  5. Monday, 10/29/18 Journal 2.5 : Compare Napoleon III to William II or Bismarck or Napoleon I. What did Napoleon III do exceptionally well? Where were his failings? What would you suggest for him to improve

Discuss the changes France went through, and if they’re coming out a better nation, or one which is regressing, as they transitioned from kingdom, to republic, to empire, and back to republic, all from 1848 to 1878.
