G R A D U A T I O N REQUIREMENTS You must receive a Distinguished Level of Achievement to be considered for “Top 10%” admission to a University in Texas • 1 credit Fine Arts • .5 credit Speech (FBISD) • .5 credit Health (FBISD) • 6.0 credits in electives • (May include CTE or certification courses • Credit requirements specific to at least • one endorsement • .5 credit Speech (FBISD)

  3. These are the credits that determine your endorsement area.   5. Pathways Pathways are paths set up in each Endorsement area. For example, if you wanted to be a police officer or a teacher, they are both in the Public Service Endorsement. However, their pathways are different – Police officer pathway is Law Enforcement, Teacher pathway is Education & Training

  6. You are able to change what you select as your endorsement

  7. CAREERS There is a wide range of careers available in the required STEM field, including: engineering, computer programming, software developer, and research scientist.

  8. CAREERS Related business careers include: accounting, information technology specialist, communications, financial advisor, marketing specialist, architect, construction, and project management.

  9. CAREERS There are a wide range of careers available in the public service area including serving as a police officer, firefighter, government official, human resources administrator or teacher.

  10. CAREERS Students interested in pursuing a career path in the entertainment industry or as an interpreter, or writer, for example, may want to consider the Arts and Humanities endorsement to guide course selection.

  11. CAREERS Because of the broad nature of a multidisciplinary endorsement. students can choose from a wide variety of careers. If students are unsure of their career interests and wish to cross-study multiple subjects, they may want to consider the Multiple Disciplinary endorsement to guide course selection.

  12. Explore • Log in to Naviance to explore various careers related to your strengths and interests. www.connection.naviance.com/bowiems • This will help you determine your endorsement.
