Mentee Requirements 9 month commitment to the program, ending March 31, 2019 Mentoring plan and log 1:1 meetings with mentor (5) Webinars with all mentors/mentees Share best practices with other mentees Be prepared in each meeting with mentor with topic for discussion/homework Complete an exit survey

  3. Mentoring Plan and log Set 2-3 goals for your mentoring experience Break goals down into feasible chunks Think about how mentor can help you with each goal Send to mentor no later than July 10th Mentor will approve plan by July 20th Send final plan to tburroughs@rwjf-newconnection.org

  4. 1:1 Meetings with Mentor • Connect with your mentor! • Provide suggestions for how you would like to meet • Telephone, Google Hangout, Skype, Whats App • Individual meetings should average to about every other month • Be prepared for each meeting! • On time • Mentally present and alert

  5. Group Session Mentors will provide topic/format for group session Treat group sessions as important as individual sessions Be on time Be engaged – limit notetaking and typing No background noise/interactions Vegas Rule! (What happens in group stays in group)

  6. Share Best Practices with Fellow Mentees In Group Session with Mentor Among each other via email Trellis Mentee Group Sessions Privacy/NO judgment

  7. Be prepared for Each Meeting • Refer to your mentoring plan • Draft an agenda a head of time and send to mentor several days in advance. Be ready to share with your mentor updates of your progress at each meeting. Be prepared with questions for your mentor .

  8. Complete the Exit Survey You will receive a survey near the end of the program. The exit survey will provide us with the type of feedback necessary so that we can • Advocate for the program in future rounds of our program funding • Make improvements or changes to the program if necessary
