Housing LIN update Web developments: • Rebranded ‘Healthwatch’ housing & housing pages to ‘Health Intel’ • Page includes new health dashboard – access local and national metrics • Integrated care • Hospital discharge • Public Health • NHS estate • Updates to SHOP@ to reflect latest Census Data and related prevalence rates

Housing LIN updates Policy news: • DH Care Act regulations and guidance, including reference to housing • DLCG Contestable Policy Fund programme looking at the evidence base of housing for older people and future policy development. Reports by Demos and URS, due to end of 2015 • Working with NHS England, Public Health England, DH etc on a Health and Housing Memorandum of Understanding & Action Plan (Housing LIN to lead on exemplification of practice)

  4. Housing LIN updates Policy & market news: • APPG Affordable Retirement Housing inquiry report by Demos Knight Frank Retirement Housing 2014

  5. Housing LIN update Funding news: • HCA/GLA Approved Housing Programme 2015-2018 announced, with some emphasis in housing for older and vulnerable adults (HCA continuous market engagement) • Still awaiting announcement of Phase Two of £115m CASSHF (no news!) • £3.8b Integration Transformation Fund (now called Better Care Fund) published and outlines plans submitted for expenditure from April 2015. Includes capital housing component ie DFGs £220m and further £130m capital • DCLG – £1m FirstStop Advice

Housing LIN update Housing for Older People, Housing LIN Gold awards: • Best Housing-with-Care Schemes in the category 30 - 44 units went to: Brunel Court, Wolverhampton, managed by The ExtraCare Charitable Trust • Best Housing-with-Care Schemes in the category 100 units and over went to: West End Village, Stoke-on-Trent, managed by Staffordshire Housing Association Ltd.

  7. Housing LIN update Regional conferences: • 4 well-attended regional autumn conferences in Swindon, Warrington, Birmingham and London. Thanks to support from Keepmoat (all), Seqol (Swindon), West Midlands Later Life Forum (Birmingham) and RIBA (London) • East of England regional network meeting in Bury St Edmunds

Leaders’ and scheme managers’ courses • Update the Housing LIN Care and Support Technical Brief • A selection of new blogs, viewpoints, case studies and reports • Influencing next government – policy development and funding opportunities (capital and revenue)
