Microinsurance • SAJIDA’S Core micro insurance program is named as NIRAPOTTA (SAFETY NET) • A comprehensive micro insurance program for microfinance borrowers established in 2006 to provide social protection and security. • Addresses basic lifecycle needs of the poor that include health costs, death costs, educational expenses, disaster loss and other financial risks.   12. NIRAPOTTA (SAFETY NET) Premium The premium covers up to 5 family members. Coverage is for entire loan-term. • BDT 250-1050 (USD 3.0- USD 13.0) per year depending on loan amount and loan tenure. BDT 100 (USD 1) per additional member.

  23. Cont…. • Community Health Program through Sajida Bondhu for providing promotive, preventive and basic curative care and basic diagnostic service with appropriate referral. A trained SAJIDA Bondhu (friend of SAJIDA) gathers information and delivers services at the household level. One SAJIDA Bondhu is assigned for each branch. Make community people aware, give preventive health education & treatment and refer to appropritae health centres are their core work.
