  1. Are the Gospels historically accurate? Teaching a class on historical accuracy Daniel Powell

  2. Why I chose my topic • When I chose my topic it was a current debate between a small group of theological scholars and the majority of theologians. I wanted to be educated in the subject and this was a good opportunity to research it

  3. Research • Many of the places are still inhabited. • Many of the ones that aren’t still used have found through archeological digs.

  4. Research • The Gospels compared to other documents • Errors in the copying • Contradictions in chronological starting place

  5. Research • The author’s reliability is backed by logic and culture. • The span between the events and their writing is short and explainable.

  6. Obstacles • Confirming the information’s reliability. • Finding a lot of repeat information • Finding a person with ample knowledge on my subject for interview

  7. Successes • Writing the paper was simple • Making the notecards • I passed after fixing my margins

  10. Things I learned about myself • I learned that I am good at presenting to small groups. Not that great at larger audiences. • I am better at working on facts rather than creative subjects.
