  2. Unaccepted Road Maintenance History From 1994 to 1998 the Town of Plymouth appropriated approximately $170,000 per year for the maintenance of unaccepted roads. After 1998 it was discovered that public funds could not used to maintain unaccepted roads. In 2010, the STM approved a special act to allow public funding to be allocated for use on unaccepted road maintenance. In June of 2012 the special act was passed by State Legislators and signed into law by the Governor. Article 11 is a request for $500,000 to reestablish the unaccepted road maintenance program.
