  3. Classes Required Identify three types of classes • Major requirements – engineering • Related requirements • Math • Science • Computers • General Education/Liberal Studies

  4. General Education Classes • Typically fall in 5 categories • English (1 or 2 courses req’d) • Math • Science • Social sciences • Humanities • Most schools require content in • Communications • Global/Multicultural • Some programs have specific requirements

  5. General Education Classes Transfer options: • Complete Liberal Studies at MSUM • Does transfer school accept this? • NDSU, UND, Mn State Universities • U of Mn – Dual Degree only • Complete Gen Ed’s at transfer school • Check their catalog • Look for specific requirements
