  3. Many buildings are built around central courtyards – this was near the hotel

  4. Doors like these in rather plain facades lead to inner courtyards

  5. Narrow streets and sidewalk cafes everywhere

  6. Piazza between the hotel & Pantheon • Saw a fresco on the ceiling of an apartment & heard classical music • Stock exchange building façade is former Hadrian’s Temple
