Before • Check your timetable – if unsure, ask • Bring correct equipment + spares • Transparent pencil case, freezer bag or elastic band • Go to the toilet • Illness – phone school speak to Mrs Kynman • Turn off and hand in mobile phone • School uniform
Lining up • Outside Y11 cloaks • For external exams line up in tutor group alphabetical order • Listen carefully for instructions in particular to tier of entry • Bags, coats should be left in your cloakroom
Entering exam room • Stay in order • No talking on entering • Seated in snaking order, front to back, back to front • School has to keep a seating plan for irregularities • If someone is missing leave a space • Mobiles on front desk, turned off • Report immediately any graffiti on your desk
The exam • Listen carefully to instructions • Complete front cover and sign • Remember to include your candidate number • Be aware of time • Use black ink • Drinks, water only, no wrappers on bottle, must have a sports lid • Sweets without wrappers • In the event of an emergency, follow invigilators instructions
Don’ts ! • No cheating • No turning around • No communicating or attempting to communicate with others • No RED ink • No correcting fluid (Tippex) • No graffiti or foul language • No chewing gum • No mobile phones/ipods etc in the exam room
End of exam • Stop working immediately • Complete front covers for additional sheets • Fasten with treasury tags • Listen to instructions • Have your paper ready to hand in • Remain silent until everything is handed in and you are dismissed • Walk to front of row pushing your chair under the desk
