Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. James 4:13-14

  2. THE QUESTION • What is your life…Jas 4:13-14 • An important question • A pointed question • Why does James ask the question? • They left God out of their plans…Jas 4:13-14; 1Ch 15:13 • They were proud of it…Jas 4:16; Ps 10:4; Pr 16:18

  3. THE ANSWER • Your life is a Vapor…Jas 4:13-14 • We are not immortal…Gen 5:27; Gen 3:19; Ps 90:10 • We are not important…Ecc 1:11; Ecc 2:16; Ex 1:8 • We Need to Reconsider our Decisions • They are important…Rev 14:13; Heb 6:9-10 • They will affect our eternity…Jas 4:17; Ro 6:23; Ro 5:21

THE RESPONSE • How Do Vaporous People Live? • They make the most life…Ecc 10:18; Pr 31:11-29 • God influences their decisions…Isa 14:24; Pr 16:3 • God is their lives…Matt 6:33; Php 1:21; 2Cor 5:15-16 • What is your life? • Do you live like a vaporous person? • Do you live like an immortal person?

  5. Vaporous people may quickly leave this earth, but In heaven, they will live forever!!!
