HISTORY • Dec 1, 2016 – Compass Ends • New Accuplacer contract would not be in place until after start of Spring 2017 semester • Large number of students wait until near the start of semester to do their placement testing • Chattanooga State (ChSCC) already used EdReady MATH for ACT and Compass Prep • Results from EdReady Placement Pilot

Lesson Learned • EdReady English Test 1 cut off score was too low • Only made a significant difference for Co-requisite English • Changed to be same level as English Test 2 - 75 • EdReady Students less likely to withdraw (W) or stop attending class (FA) • Highest W / FA for all courses • EdReady – 5% • Class Range – 15% to 28%

  26. 2018 – Future for EdReady Placement • TBR approved to discontinue using Accuplacer at Chattanooga State • Track Fall 2017 Students • Use EdReady Customized Diagnostics in MATH Co-Requisite Courses? • Move Placement into High School – Started March 2018 • Seniors - place and register early for summer and fall • Juniors - place and begin Dual Enrollment Courses
