Student Data File – Abbreviated vs. Long Long • Abbreviated file plus • Not tested reasons • Accommodations (not collected for the HSGQE Retest) • Standard error measurements • Confidence intervals • Scan data • Constructed response items Abbreviated • File identifiers - Project Code, Vendor ID • District info - District & school numbers • Student demographics - Name, IDs, ethnicity, etc. • Scale scores and proficiency levels • Standards’ scale scores
Long Data File Reminder • The long data file for the HSGQE Retest will contain accommodation fields; however, data will not be populated as it is not collected from schools. • How many fields in the long data file? Don’t forget the file layout! 522

Data Interaction for alaska student assessments (DIASA) • DIASA is a web-based tool designed to allow school and district officials to gather “at-a-glance” information regarding district, school and /or student performance. DTCs maintain the master account for each district and are responsible for usernames and passwords
Timeline HSGQE Retest results posted on eDirect – November 15, 2012 Paper Copies Arrive in Districts – By November 30, 2012 Preliminary Results Available in DIASA – December 3, 2012 Final Results Available in DIASA (includes Stragglers) – February 19, 2013
