  2. How it Started • In the late period of the Yuan Dynasty (1271 - 1368), a peasant's uprising broke out against the Mongols. In 1352 when the rebel army captured Haozhou, Zhu Yuanzhang, a local young man from a peasant family joined the army. • After many years of fighting the rebels conquered the Mongols and Zhu became the new emperor of China. The war lasted from 1271 – 1368, a total of 91 years.

  3. When They Were in Power • They where is charge from 1368 to 1644 in China. They did many things. One of them was restoring the Great Wall of China, but many died in the process. That is because they worked the people to death. They also made The Forbidden City. Isolationism is a policy of avoiding other countries.

  4. Leaders of the Ming • There were many leaders of the Ming Dynasty. Some of them being. Zhu Yuanzhang, the Hongwu Emperor, 1368-1398, Zhu Yunwen, the Jianwen Emperor, 1398-1402 Zhu Di, the, 1402-1424 Zhu Gaochi, the Hongxi Emperor, 1424-1425 Zhu Zhangji, the Xuande Emperor, 1425-1435 Zhu Qizhen, the Zhengtong Emperor, 1435-1449 and 1457-1464 Zhu Qiyu, the Jingtai Emperor, 1449-1457 Zhu Jianshen, the Chenghua Emperor, 1464-1487 Zhu Youtang, the Hongzhi Emperor, 1487-1505 Zhu Houzhao, the Zhengde Emperor, 1505-1521 Zhu Houcong, the Jiajing Emperor, 1521-1566 Zhu Zaihou, the Longqing Emperor, 1566-1572.

  5. Achievementsof the Ming • The Ming did many things in their time. One of them was completing of the Great Wall of China, it is more than 2000 miles long. Although it did take many years. They also made the Forbidden Palace. Only a few people were allowed in the City at its time. The great sailor Zheng HE , he led seven great voyage around Asia.

  6. The Ming’s Decline • In the case of the decline and fall of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), several different interpretations are possible. Many people at the time, whose words and opinions have come down to us, expressed the belief that the end was inevitable because of the moral degradation of the people. They saw all around them the rule of the lord of silver and the god of copper cash and deplored the materialism that affected the world.
