  5. R.E Our first topic is GIFTS FROM GOD Our second topic is THE COMMANDMENTS New School Year Mass Wednesday 9:30am. A new type of prayer that we will be introducing is Meditation.

HOMEWORK MULTIPLICATION TABLES Learning tables and being tested each Friday SPELLING 10 spellings a week that will be tested on a Friday LEARNING LOGS A range of subjects to reinforce learning in the classroom – given on a Friday, due in the following Thursday. MATHS Worksheets / Abacus – given on Friday, due in the following Thursday.

  8. Buddy System • Year 5 will continue to be buddies to the Year 1 children. • They will be paired up and get a chance to read with, sit with them in special assemblies, and in the playground on certain ‘buddy events’.

  9. Assessment *Parent consultation: Tuesday 21st October* NGRT New Group Reading Test NFER – National Foundation for Educational Research Mathematics Test. OPTIONAL SATS MAY 2015 Reading and mathematics. FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT Foundation Subjects, R.E, P.E, English, Maths and Science.
