Canoe camping and expeditioneering are lifelong activities, opening up access to the most beautiful places on the planet.

Licensed guides will accompany us.

Excellent quality equipment is used,

Personalized Instruction will be provided.

Our river venue is New Zealand’s seldom-run RANGITIKEI River. (Class II: easy with small rapids that do not require previous skill)

We fly into and out of Wellington.

We will travel about 80 miles of river in five days, camping along the shore, cooking our own meals and learning the art of canoe camping and expeditioneering.

Those who like to fish can attempt to catch a legendary New Zealand Trout.

(5 kilo Rangitikei trout)

You will need to bring:
  • Clothes for on-river
  • Tevas or other sport sandals
  • Hiking shoes
  • Raingear
  • Sleeping bag
  • Personal items

You will NOT need to bring:
  • River equipment (boats, paddles, etc, will be provided)
  • Camping gear (tents, groundpad provided)
  • Waterproof bags (provided)
  • Any canoeing or camping experience
