Cambrian School DistrictSpecial Education 2010-2011Serving 300+ Students with Special Needs • Cambrian Special Day Classes (SDC) • Preschool (ages 3-5) SDC at Fammatre (3.0 FTE) • Three teachers each teach an AM (8:30-11:15) and PM (11:45-2:30) class. Students divided by age and special needs. • Teachers are part of multidisciplinary team (Psych, SLP and OT) who do all of our early start, preschool and transition to K assessments. • K-3rd (4.0 FTE) and 3rd-5th (3.0 FTE) Grade SDC • 2.0 FTE Bagby: Autism and Global Developmental Delays • 3.0 FTE Sartorette: Language and Learning Handicaps • 2.0 FTE Farnham: ADHD, Autism Spectrum and Related Social Impairments • Price Middle School (6th-8th grade) (1.0 FTE) • Social Thinking: ADHD, Autism Spectrum and Related Social Impairments

  7. Cambrian School District Alternative Education Alternative Education This year we discontinued the Cambrian Community School as a cost saving measure. The students will be served at Price Middle School. We developed C.A.S.A. (Collaborative Academic Success for All) program this year at Price which utilizes RSP teacher for general education students needing more targeted support. Students who commit expellable offenses may be referred to SCCOE Alternative Education class (no Cambrian students placed in that class to start the year)

Cambrian School District Student Attendance & Residency • Collaborating with Principals, staff, parents and the San Jose Police Department regarding students’ attendance and residency issues • Coordinating residency verification checks and residency related issues • School Attendance Review Board (SARB)

Cambrian School District Student Discipline and Behavior • Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Staff Development • Overseeing Suspensions and Expulsions • Facilitating Behavior Review Board • Student Counseling Resources and Social-Emotional/Behavioral Issues • Student Study & Individualized Educational Program Team Meetings
