  • Discussion, brainstorming, organizational techniques
  • Accordion Process
  • 4 committee meetings over the year
  • Incorporated other district plans/initiatives
    • Single Plan for Student Achievement
    • Local Education Plan
    • Technology Plan
  • Board Presentations

Tactical Components – (the how)

  • Targets
  • Action Plans
  • Annual targets - will be updated each year
    • Specific: drives and brings attention to resources
    • Measured: summative measures for accomplishment
    • Attainable: can be accomplished this year
    • Results: benchmarks to measure efforts
    • Time bound - to be accomplished this year
  • Not all sub-goal areas addressed every year
  • Focus will change each year as different components become accomplished and part of what we do

Since we live in an age of innovation, a practical education must prepare a person for work that does not yet exist and cannot be clearly defined.

  • Produce Strategic Plan Brochure

  • Sub-committee formed to monitor progress and develop targets for 2012-13
  • Formal updates to board at mid and end of year
  • New targets (2012-13) brought to the board in June of 2012
