  1. Pre-Tutorial Notes • First off, I decided to change the background for some variety  • This section of the Complete Roblox Tutorial will go over the Main Toolbar. • We shall now begin!

  2. Main Toolbar • New Button – Creates a new Scene. • Load Button – Allows you to load a previously saved Scene. • Save Button – Saves you Scene. (You will have to choose where to save it if you have not already saved it once before.) • Cut Button – Cuts whatever is selected and allows it to be pasted back into the Scene. • Copy Button – Copies whatever is selected and allows it to be pasted into the Scene. • Paste Button – Places a copy of whatever you last copied or cut into the Scene. • Undo Button – Undoes the last action you just performed. (PLEASE NOTE: The undo command is not always reliable.)

  3. Main Toolbar Pt. 2 • Redo Button – Redoes the last action you undid. • Group Button – Groups two or more objects together. • Ungroup Button – Ungroups a group you have previously made. • Rotate Button – Rotates a brick 90 degrees. • Tilt Button – Tilts a brick 90 degrees. • Move Up Button – Moves a brick 1.2 units up. • Move Down Button – Moves a brick 1.2 units down. • Play Button – Starts you Scene and any scripts in it. • Pause Button – Pauses your Scene if you have clicked play. • Reset Button – Sets the Scene back to what it looked like before you click the Play Button.

  4. Main Toolbar Pt. 3 • Grab Tool Button – Activates the Grab Tool. • Move on Axis Button – Moves a brick on it’s X, Y, or Z axis. • Scale Tool – Scales (or resizes) a brick. • Lock Button – Activates the Lock Tool which allows you to lock objects so they cant be selected in the Workspace. If you click on a brick that is already locked with this tool, it will lock again. • Anchor Button – Activates the Anchor Tool which allows you to prevent bricks from moving. If you click on a brick that was previously anchored, it will become unanchored and will move again. • Fill with Color Button – Allows you to paint a brick whatever color you want. Click the arrow next to it to choose a color and then click on a brick to change it to that color.

  5. Main Toolbar Pt. 4 • Pick Color Tool – Allows you to pick a color from a brick to be used with the Fill with Color Tool. • Change Material Tool – Allows you to change the material of a brick. • Smooth Surface Tool – Allows you to change the surface of a brick to smooth. • Glue Surface Tool – Allows you to put glue on the surface of a brick. If two blocks are touching and one has glue on a surface that is touching, the two blocks will stick to each other. • Weld Surface Tool – Stronger version of the Glue Surface Tool. • The next three tools are kind of how Legos work, The first is the Connectors Surface Tool which are like studs for Legos. The second, the Indent Surface Tool, is like the holes in the bottom of Legos where the studs attach. The third Tool, Universals to Surface, places studs and holes to the same surface. Two surfaces with this will connect to each other.

  6. Main Toolbar Pt. 5 • Hinge Surface Tool – Places a hinge on the surface of a brick. This basically will connect two bricks but allow them to rotate next to each other. • Motor Surface Tool – Places a motor on the surface or a brick. Is similar to the Hinge Tool but automatically rotates the brick. • Move Parts Tool – Same as the Grab Tool, only it has a grid that can be changed. If you look a few buttons down, you see three buttons with silver magnets and numbers. Use these with this tool to change how much the brick moves each time. • Rotate Parts Tool – Rotates the part you have selected. Uses the Three buttons just like the Move Parts Tool • Scale Parts Tool – Scales (resizes) bricks you have selected and uses the three buttons like the Move Parts and Rotate Parts Tools.

  7. Main Toolbar Pt. 6 • Toolbox Button – Opens the Toolbox (Discussed in an earlier tutorial.) • The next 8 buttons have to do with camera movement. Hold you mouse over them for 1 second and it will tell you what it does. I shall also show you. • Time of Day Button – Adjusts the Time of Day. This affects shadows and sun/moon position. • Input Info – Tells you what buttons you are clicking. 

  8. Conclusion • I hope you learned a lot from this tutorial. Stay tuned for more tutorials soon. I will be discussing the Explorer in the next video. • Please subscribe to me for more videos and information about making your own game on Roblox. • I also accept friend requests. • Goodbye, and I wish the best of luck to your games.
