  1. . • Standard Targeting • Cost-per-thousand (CPM) pricing for : • New Jersey county level geo-targeting options • Section targeting to the following sections: News, Sports, High School Sports, Entertainment, Interact, & all regional content sections. • Premium Targeting • Cost-per-thousand (CPM) pricing for: • Custom (non-standard) geo-targeting options • Specific targeting to the following sections: Home page, Weather, Business, Living and all sub-section or custom page targeting. • Business Listing segments Extended Reach Cost-per-thousand (CPM) pricing for impression advertising served across The Microsoft Media Network (MMN). Run-Of-Site(ROS) Cost-per-thousand (CPM) pricing for all ROS and ROS/DMA advertising -- includes all sections except Real Estate, Jobs, Autos. Mobile NJ.com Cost-per-thousand (CPM) pricing. Minimum of 50,000 monthly impressions or 5,000 per day.

  2. Impression Rate Premiums • 15% is added to applicable CPM for rich media. • Video requires an additional $1.00 per thousand serving fee for video files up to 3 megabytes. Available only in the leaderboard, rectangle, skyscraper and half-page positions Additional serving fees required for larger video files. • Other premiums may apply based upon availability of ad inventory. • NJ.com Roadblocks & Static Placements By Day • Positions available: Leaderboard, Rectangle, Expandable Leaderboard, Sliding Billboard, Corner Peel, Homepage Half-Banner . • Full Roadblock - Every ad position on the page is purchased for an entire day • Partial Roadblock/Static Placement - Purchase one or more position for entire day. • Day-Part Roadblock - Ad positions can be purchased to run over certain times of the day. Morning (6 a.m. - Noon), Afternoon (Noon – 6 p.m.), or Evening (6 p.m. – Midnight). Multiple day parts can be purchased and will be billed based on the number of impressions served . Pricing is an additional 10% . • Minimum Impression commitment for Full or Partial Roadblock is based on daily average of impressions served the prior month. Billing will be based on this minimum. Advertiser has the choice to buy impressions served above the minimum, which will be calculated at conclusion of campaign. Premium Targeting CPM’s apply. • Full-Day Roadblocks have first right of refusal over Partial Roadblock/Static Placement and Day-Part Roadblocks. RATES & GUIDELINES CONTINUED • Integrated Content Opportunities • Annual commitment at a minimum of $12K for Classifieds Category (Autos, Jobs, Real Estate), $18K for Living & Entertainment categories (home & garden, education, health, etc), $30K for HS Sports, Sports, Business. • Advertiser will receive training in SEO best practices, utilizing the blog tools (photos, video), tagging content, etc. and must be active in posting to the blog (at least once a week). All commercial content is identified as advertising and subject to review and approval by NJ.com's content team. • Promotional elements include; ad in left rail of page pulling content of all contributing commercial bloggers for each category, a link to the blog from four pages: NJ.com homepage (bottom of right hand rail), Blog Index page (http://www.nj.com/blogs/), and Premium Blog index page (http://www.nj.com/blogs/premium/), and Site Index (http://www.nj.com/siteindex/). • Additional impressions for driving traffic to the advertiser’s blog can be purchased at current ROS rates. These rates apply to standard and premium placement, not interstitials, sliding billboards, corner peels. Those units get a 50% discount that will be applied to the revenue commitment rates that they earn. • Guidelines • All online advertising and services expenditures, including recruitment advertising, accrue to Revenue Commitment Level. Annual contract periods can include earned sponsorships. • CPM’s for multi-year agreements will be annualized but earn sponsorships based on the full revenue commitment. • Text Links are included in revenue-based contracts. • NJ.com and Extended Reach are commissionable at 15% to recognized agencies. • Search Solutions and Extended Reach requires a minimum expenditure commitment. • Impression advertising placements on NJ.com that exclusively promote a recognized charity or a charitable event will qualify for a 50% discount on all stated NJ.com rates. Served on an "as available" basis. • Travel category (Airlines, Airports, Cruise Lines, Travel Agency) and Movie Studios earn $50,000 rate level with signed proposal. • Advertisers cancelling their contract, or falling short of their commitment level will have all advertising placed during the contract period re-billed at the earned rate, and their sponsorship elements removed. • Rates are subject to change with a 30-day notice to existing contract advertisers. • Effective January 1, 2010.
