  2. Introduction Born: February 6th, 1911 Died: June 5th, 2004 Date Elected: January 20th, 1981 Interesting Fact: He had a jelly bean jar on his desk. He made sure he ate the coconut flavor.

  3. Family and Education Ronald Reagan’s father was John Edward Reagan. His brother was John Neil. Reagan was near sighted, though he was very athletic. He played on the football and basketball teams. Reagan attended Eureka College. He was educated.

  4. Family Life Ronald Reagan's father couldn’t settle on a job, so his family had to keep on moving. Reagan married Nancy Davis on March 4th. In 1914, Reagan’s daughter Maureen was born. They didn’t have any pets.

  5. The Election Ronald Reagan chose George H.W. Bush to be vice president. He ran against Jimmy Carter. The election votes were not close at all. 44 states voted for Reagan, but only 6 states (and Washington D.C.) voted for Carter. Reagan also won in electoral votes 489 to 49.

  6. The Events in Presidency • One of the important issues Ronald Reagan faced was that the economy was in a recession. He improved it. It was important because the welfare of the nation depended on the economy.
