  1. Hyderabad Police to use Drones ‘eye in the Sky’ to Monitor City: HYD7AM Hyderabad News: Hyderabad City might be under the scanner by the city Police with the help of Dones (bird’s Eye View). Yes, Hyderabad City is gearing up to monitor the city with the help of Technology Using drones. These drones used to monitor the Hyderabad city were termed as ‘eye in the sky. According to the reports, If everything goes according to the plan then the city will operate a host of multi-rotor drones to keep an eye on the city. These drones will monitor the city and the targeted persons and will be the Police department’s Eye in the SKY. Hyderabad City Police which is known for using the technology as the best way to track down the criminal activities are planning these drones for effective monitoring. The police department is planning makes use of a bird’s eye view of Drones to track vehicular movement and law and order- related activities along with criminal activities and track down criminals on the run. If the available information has to be believed, the Hyderabad city police have used similar Drone Technology to monitor the city during covid Lockdown times and were successful and as of now, these drones are being used to ferry across medicines and provide medical assistance in remote areas. Now Hyderabad Police department is planning to use them to monitor the city. If anything, to go by the sources, as of now Ground command Control systems are being developed to operate these drones. And these drones can be operated at a distance range of up to 3-4 miles. Along with criminal activities, these drones also help traffic police to monitor traffic Jams. According to the sources, The Hyderabad police department will provide necessary training to operate the drones and to effectively use the technology to take up surveillance and monitoring related activities. It is also heard that efforts are being made to build coordinate with the CCTV monitoring mechanism of the city police.
