  1. International Law Association The ILA was founded in Brussels in 1873, with the belief that international law is key to peace, justice and development in a globalised world. Its constitutional objectives are “the study, clarification and development of international law, both public and private, and the furtherance of international understanding and respect for international law”. https://ila.org.au/

Prizes and Internships The Australian Branch of the International Law Association is calling for submissions for the Brennan Essay Prize in Public International Law and the Nygh Essay Prize in Private International Law. These two prizes – named in honour of Sir Gerard Brennan, former Chief Justice of Australia and Patron of the Branch, and the late Dr Peter Nygh, a leading Australian scholar of private international law and former President of the Branch – are awarded to the authors of essays in the field of public international law and private international law (conflict of laws). https://ila.org.au/
