    1. Ceramics- Hand building Coil pots

    2. Objectives: I will create a 5” pot using coiling as the method of creating pottery I will create interesting design by incorporating at least 3 different types of coils and 2 types of designs

    20. Steps Wedge the Clay (remove air bubbles) Roll out a slab using slab sticks and a roller Roll out coils. Slip and Score all attachments At least 3 different types of coils (braids, curly coils, snake-like, etc.) Negative space (do not cut out… instead form the coil to make neg. space).

    21. Criteria Quality/Craftsmanship (no score marks visible, everything properly attached, appropriate dimensions) It’s a coil pot Minimum Three (3) different types of coils used 2 other types of designs used besides coil (beads, shapes, etc.) Inside of the pot is perfectly smooth, while outside has coil designs.
