  5. Homework Runs the Same Cycle Each Week Monday- 1. Read 15 minutes/Log 2. Spelling List Goes Home (Due Friday) 3. Every 2 Weeks at the Beginning of New Fundations Unit practice sheets go home (do not return). Tuesday- 1. Read 15 minutes/Log 2. Math worksheet Guided Reading Books will come home to be read and returned. Wednesday- 1. Read 15 minutes/Log Thursday- 1. Read 15 minutes/Log 2. Math Worksheet 3. Thursday Thoughts Journal Friday- 1. Spelling Activities Due (parents initial unless work is attached) 2. Thursday Thoughts Journal Signed/Returned

Logging Reading Minutes • At your child’s seat is a gold sheet with directions for Reading-Rewards.com • Students are motivated to read with this system! • We have logged in at the computer lab. • We will go again this Friday to log in minutes. • We can see what each other is reading (only us). • Please email me with questions! • This is optional…you may request a paper log.

  7. Birthday Bag • Replaces birthday treats (school policy) • Child brings in a bag of special items to share at morning meeting (pictures, toys, trophy, favorite item). • We sing to student during meeting. • Student chooses morning meeting activity that day.

  8. Rules and Consequences • Students are asked to follow classroom procedures- • When to sharpen your pencil • Sign out for bathroom use • No talking in the hallways (and more) • Students are asked to follow classroom rules we created together the 1st week of school. • Warning • Alaska to think about actions • Behavior Action Chart- sent home that night to be filled out by parent/child (phone call home). • This is only sent for severe behavior issue and should be taken seriously.
