  1. Perks of studying advanced English Literature in a summer course English Literature course at Immerse Education leads students to identify what it is that makes a piece of ‘writing’ stand out from the rest. There are several others closely following the works of Milton and Shakespear, including their style and forms; analysing and interpreting how they actually work and what they actually mean. ”How do you plan to make your works stand out?” Students on our English Literature summer programme spend two weeks in Cambridge, reading, writing and deliberating about great English literary works. Our English language summer programme is tailored to help young minds learn how texts are examined at a university-level. Students develop skills during the programme which facilitate them further to understand abstract works and interpret them correctly before they come up with an interpretation of their own. The English language summer course provides university aspirants with an encouraging opportunity to explore the latest works, develop a greater appreciation for the language and gain an alternative standpoint of previously-studied materials. During the course, students develop strong methodical skills, often used by contemporary critics, which eventually serve them in their undergraduate courses as well as professional careers. Key benefits of English language summer course Students get to study advanced literary works in the world’s most competitive academic setting. Read and discuss what they have learned with their peers, and the topics of the discussions often include prose and contemporary verses. Students learn specific tactics and approaches to efficiently analyse and interpret a variety of literary works. They look into the work and life of great poets and novelists. Understand the fundamental historical trends, movements and contexts that usually define a great literary work Build very unique writing, analytical and editing skills

  2. Topics covered in Immerse’s English language programme The Immerse Education’s English language course equips students with a range of concepts, ideas and techniques, typically used in contemporary literary criticism. Each of our classes is designed by experienced tutors from leading universities such as Cambridge and Oxford. This helps students enrich their knowledge of the language by providing them with adequate room for practice to improve their personal techniques. Students start by understanding why literary criticism carries so much of importance by learning the principles of criticism. They also learn to read more constructively and intently in order to understand the core essence of the text. Our in-class lessons focus on English literary history, challenges involved in translating foreign literary works into English and the influence of the editors in literature. During their time on the course, students also study all-time great proses and verses, with an exclusive focus on the works of two prolific writers: William Blake and John Milton (Cambridge alumnus). Tutors will focus on helping their students improve and refine their writing, learning and interpretation skills over time. The outcome of studying the English language in a summer school For any students interested in studying English literature at a university, this two- week summer course is going to provide a strong groundwork for further studies and help you learn to read difficult texts more critically, effectively and closely.
