  5. Grading Policy • The following lists the categories for grading: Formative (Daily Work) • 30% (Pre-AP) • 40% (On Level) Summative (Tests and Projects) • 70% (Pre-AP) • 60% (On Level)

  6. Absences and Make-up Work • When a student is absent from school, it is the student’s responsibility to collect any make-up work he or she might have. • The student will have one day for every day that he or she was absent to make up any work missed.

  7. Late Work • Points will be deducted from work that is turned in late. • 1 day late, highest 80 • 2 days late, highest grade 60 • 3 days late, highest grade 50

  8. Tutorials • Tutoring is available Wednesday from 8:00 to 8:25 am and from 4:00 to 4:30 pm.

  9. Classroom Rules • Show respect for your teacher and classmates with your words and actions. • Listen quietly when the teacher is talking. • Work during work times. • Remain seated during class, until the bell rings, unless you have permission to get up. • Take care of our classroom supplies and lab equipment.

  10. Supplies • KMS Binder (including all supplies) • A 2 ½ - 3 inch 3 ring binder • A pencil bag to store the following supplies: • Two or more pens • Two or more pencils • Highlighter • Colored Pencils • A small pencil sharpener • A grading pen • Planner (KMS will sell these at orientation) • Notebook Paper • 3 packages of 5 dividers • Homework folder • Glue • Paper Towels • Unlined Paper • 2 Spirals (70 pages)
