Vision: Kirkwood Meadow Trail • Create a summer experience that parallels the winter cross country trail experience • Plan to focus on segments of the trail • Trail designed for use by pedestrian hikers, mountain bikes and equestrian use • Stakeholders: KMPUD, Kirkwood Community Association, Kirkwood Capital Partners and Vail Resorts

  3. Conservation Easement • Under a Conservation Easement since 2003 with North American Land Trust (NALT) • Plan to reach out to them in the next few months to discuss our plan to ensure it meets the conditions of the easement

  5. Next Steps • Continue consulting with trail contractor, Donald Hays • Explore creating a “demo trail” on KMPUD property • Contact NALT • Understand permitting • Funding • Volunteers • Formalize plan for submission
