THE “HOW” OF UNITY. “Give diligence to present yourself approved unto God…” 2 Tim. 2:15. Most Churches…. Accomplish unity by saying nothing really matters anyway. A friend of the United Brethren “faith”, when their building burned met with the Catholics. But it was only temporary.

  2. Most Churches… • Accomplish unity by saying nothing really matters anyway. • A friend of the United Brethren “faith”, when their building burned met with the Catholics. But it was only temporary. • Most want “unity”. We agree with: Psalm 133:1; Amos 3:3; John 17. • But “How”?

The Opposite of Division • To “transcend” a difference doesn’t solve the problem. • Walk by the same rule – Gal. 6:16. • The Scripture is the rule – 2 Tim. 3:16-17 • By love and concern – I Cor. 12:25; Phil. 2:3-8; I Peter 1:22 • Yield to the “body” – Our problem isn’t the text, but the application – Eph. 2:13-17; I Cor. 12:12f; I Tim. 2:9

  4. 5. Teach the same thing – 2 John 9; Rev. 22:18-19 The result is peace and harmony and salvation – Eph. 4:3; 5:23.
