  3. The Equation 2 2 2 A + B = C In this equation, you have to square the numbers that are given, and proceed to add them together. You are now left with C squared. C A B

  4. Starting a Problem Practice problem: The A will be set as 4, and the B will be 6. We are solving for C, so it is left as a variable. 4 C A 6 B

  5. Squaring the Legs Square all three components of the equation. It is now- 16 + 36 = c 2 2 C 4 2 6 2

  6. Finishing the problem To finish this problem, you must add A and B together, and find the square root of the sum. 16+36=52 C = 52 Final Answer- 52 16 C= 7.2 36
