  2. Starter • Dyson's new vacuum cleaner "The Ball" was developed in order to compete against the increasing number of bagless vacuum cleaners available. The innovation of placing a ball at the bottom of the cleaner is an example of which enterprise quality? • The ability to ask why? • The ability to ask why not? • Deliberate creativity • Taking risks?

  3. Answer • The ability to ask why not? This is the most appropriate answer BECAUSE you thinking about Why not try a different way of using a vacuum cleaner by using a ball system?

  10. Benefits of a Mind Map • Developing a mind map helps: • BRAINSTORM • Come up with ideas • CATEGORISE • Organise your ideas in a logical way • LINK • Recognise that there will be some overlap between your categories and ideas

Activity: Create a mind map • 10 minutes to create a mind map to show all the Enterprise Skills that are needed to be successful in business (all you have learnt in this Unit 1.2) • Use examples from a variety of entrepreneurs and companies or brands you are familiar with to illustrate those skills • You will be asked to explain why you chose that person to illustrate that skill
