  4. Create a vision How can we create a vision of religious education that connects with our school community? What matters? What do we want for our learners?

  5. Communicate the vision How can we help our school community understand the vision, accept the vision, ‘buy into’ the vision?

  6. Empower others How can we build and sustain professional learning communities in religious education within our school and across schools? How can we find out about teacher needs and actively plan for these?

  7. Acknowledge and celebrate achievements How can we affirm what is good? How can we celebrate what works? How can we say ‘thank-you’?

  8. Keep change on the agenda How can we create a space for change? How can we nurture a culture of trust, of respect, of sharing and taking risks? How can we nurture a culture in which fears, needs and vulnerabilities can be shared?

  9. Create a new culture How can we keep reinforcing and living our beliefs, values and vision? How do we keep asking the questions: What do we do? Why do we do it? How do we do it? Is there a better way?
