Why Russia • 140 million potential customers • 9th Largest economy in the world (similar size to India) • UK exports to Russia valued at £4.78 billion • UK exports to Russia grew by 39% last year • Since 2001 they have been growing at an average of 21% yoy • Russian Economy grow at 4.3% last year • Predicted to grow at 4.2% this year.

  4. Why Russia • Potentially a massive market for UK • It is the only BRIC in Europe • Joining WTO in 2012 • Chairing G20 in 2013 • We have strong historical and trade links • Culturally and emotionally much closer to us than China, Brazil or India. • Easy to get too
