  1. Initial Ideas In my idea for a thriller film, a person is running to catch a train, somehow, when he gets on the train, there is suddenly two of them, one which doesn’t catch the train and one which does. The one which manages to catch the train goes over to another country and ends up deciding to live there after finding a lot of luck in this place, he is unaware that there is another ‘copy’ of him back where he got his train from who is unable to get on the next train, being accused of fraud (as the ticket he was using had technically already been used. Both are unaware of each other. The one who doesn’t mange to catch the train (A) gets a criminal record for fraud because B is using his drivers license, passport etc elsewhere. Until one day when B is in the paper, talking about how his life had changed since he moved to wherever he was getting the train to, he talks about how he only just managed to catch the train and he’s had such luck since, A reads this paper, and confused, he wonders why he is in the paper and who made up such an untrue article about him, until he realises what happened. He seeks revenge on B because he ‘stole’ his life so when B goes back home for a weekend to visit his parents he confronts him. At the end of the film you see one of them being killed (fallen off cliff, shot etc) although you don’t know which one. You also see one of them going to Bs family (you’re not sure if this is A or B because if it is A then they will be pretending to be B) You never know which one it is that got killed. Zoe Stabler

  2. This film is a lot like ‘Sliding Doors’. In Sliding doors you see two different lives, one about if the girl catches the train and one about if she doesn’t, although in this film only one of the scenarios actually happens meaning there isn’t a confrontation between the two people. My idea is a lot like it because it’s two people, one does catch the train and one doesn’t, it shows two different lives and also how the actions one performs could mean that the other one gets the complete opposite. Sliding Doors (1998) A London woman's love life and career both hinge, unknown to her, on whether or not she catches a train. We see it both ways, in parallel. Zoe Stabler
