  2. About us • Uptown International School (UIS), a Taaleem school, is one of the country's most prestigious IB schools. UIS is a multilingual, global educational institution located in the heart of the Mirdif community in Dubai. Here students learn how to think critically, challenge assumptions, excel, build character, build friendships, and become multilingual global citizens. • We are an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). The school language of instruction is English. The Arabic language studies are in the Early Years Programme and French is offered from Grade 1 onwards. • It is our goal to nurture students regardless of ability or aspiration through outstanding facilities and inspiring staff.
