  1. CHARACTER SHIFT CHART: BEATRICE TO TRIS • On the left this chart, write adjectives of the early traits of Beatrice. Focus on chapters 1-6. Include quote(s) with page numbers that support you characterization. You need at least three different traits. • On the right side of this chart, write adjectives of the later traits of Tris. Focus on chapter 7 through our present place in the novel (or what you know). Include quote(s) with page numbers that support you characterization. You need at least three different traits. • In the middle, write what you think cause the shift from Beatrice to Tris. What is the key event? Why do you think this caused the shift?
