  3. Overview • Students should have already registered for classes through the web store or their counselor • Campus Orientation held on June 4th at all four high schools • Students will work virtually on one class at a time until July 8th. • Teachers will monitor student progress and answer questions, troubleshoot, etc.

  4. Student Orientation • Timbercreek High School = 8:30 am -9:30 am • Fossil Ridge High School = 10:30 am – 11:30 am • Central High School = 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm • Fossil Ridge High School = 3:00 pm-4:00 pm • Students must have their own devices; those who need devices can speak to their counselor.

  5. Troubleshooting • Edgenuity is web-based, so unless there is a problem with your home internet, you should not have any trouble. • If you are taking a World Language credit recovery course, you will need to enable Flash on your home device. • If there are technical difficulties with a KISD device, you should contact your monitoring teacher and they can submit a help ticket for support.

  6. Grades • Students, since you are working through this material on your own, if you are not successful on lessons there will be little that can be done to change failing grades. Please take your time and work carefully. • Taking notes as you view instruction can help you retain the information and be more successful on assignments.

  7. Course Support • Each high school will offer lab times so that you can come in and get assistance with understanding the material, re-doing assignments, etc. • CHS Lab Times are June 10-27, Monday through Thursday, 8AM to 12PM • If you finish a course, you can also go ahead and take the final with your teacher during this time. You must be finished with all coursework and be passing the class before you can take the final.

  8. Completing and Changing Courses • Students have the opportunity to complete more than one course. • When you finish the course you are working on, and you want to start on another, you can contact your monitoring teacher and they will facilitate this change for you. • The monitoring teachers are only working a few hours a week, so please allow time for them to respond. • No new courses will be added for students after Thursday, June 27th at 4pm.

  9. Exams • All exams will be administered at Fossil Ridge High School July 8-11, 2019: • Monday, July 8th 12:30 -3:30 pm • Tuesday, July 9th 8:30-11:30 and 12:30-3:30 pm • Wednesday, July 10th 8:30-11:30 and 12:30-3:30 pm • Thursday, July 11th 8:30-11:30 and 12:30-3:30 pm • You must be finished with all of the assignments, tests, and activities in your class before you can take your exam. This includes written assignments, which will be graded. • Transportation will be provided from CHS, KHS and TCHS to Fossil Ridge High School for those students who need it.

  10. Exam Schedule July 8th= All math and World Languages (12:30-3:30 pm) July 9th= All English courses (8:30-3:30, closed for lunch 11:30-12:30) July 10th= All science & social studies courses (8:30-3:30, closed for lunch 11:30-12:30) July 11th= All courses (8:30-3:30, closed for lunch 11:30-12:30) ** Grades will be finalized before teachers leave. KISD is closed on Friday, July 12th

  11. Grades • Once you finish your exam(s) and pass the class, teachers will enter a “P” in for your transcript regardless of the number grade that is earned. • All grades will be finalized on July 11th.

  12. Logging In • Visit http://kcloud.kellerisd.net • Use your normal district login (ID number as your user name and three initials plus birthday with no leading zeroes as your password) • Click on the Edgenuity tile * Note: if you try using this login information on the Edgenuity site directly, you will not be able to log in. Always use KCloud.

  13. Working in the Course • You will see the course you are enrolled in on the left side. Click on the course, then click Next Activity to be taken to your next assignment. • If you want to revisit a previous assignment, click the Course Map.

  14. Student Tools • You may see symbols on the left side of instructional pages that include a highlighter, the option to have text read to you, formula charts, calculators, etc. Click on these to see what they can do for you. • On the top right of the screen, you will see the word English. If you click this, you can choose to have the text translated to another language. Note: the language the teacher is speaking will not change. • Clicking on the sign on the right of the screen will allow you to view the transcript and provides a place to keep eNotes.

  15. Written Assignments • In English classes, there may be written assignments. Take these assignments seriously! They will be graded by the monitoring teacher and will affect your grade in the course. • You will not be able to take your exam until these assignments have been completed and graded, so be sure to let your teacher know when you have turned these in.

  16. Before Taking the Exam • You will be given a review before the exam. Try your best on this review. The grade you earn on it is likely to be close to the same grade you will receive on the final exam. • The review does not factor into your grade, so looking up the answers will not help you, and may give you a false impression of mastering the content. • If you get a low grade on the review, it is a good idea to review the information you didn’t understand prior to coming in to take the exam.
