  3. I. Fear of Communism • The Red Scare- Panic in the United States of a Communist Revolution. • The Palmer Raids- Attorney General Palmer hunted down suspected communist.

  4. II. Waves of nativism and isolationism

  5. A. Limiting Immigration Congress established a quota system to limited the amount of immigrants from each country. -Favored western European nations.

  6. B. The KKK Rises again The Klan used anti-communist and nativist feeling to harass any group unlike themselves

  7. C. Sacco and Vanzetti- Italian Immigrants who were charged with murder. 1.were not given a fair trial and were sentenced to death
