  2. Find the overdrive link Click on the “OverDrive” button which can be found on the right-hand column of every page of the Lourdes Library Website (http://www.lourdeslibrary.weebly.com)

  3. Overdrive homepage From the start screen, you may browse through the newest titles or you can select from the different categories listed at the top. If you know what you are looking for, the easiest thing to do is to use the search box at the top of the page.

  4. Results page NOTE: If the title you want is currently unavailable, you can place a hold in it and will be notified via email when it becomes available.

  5. Download title

  6. Login to your account It is now time to log in to your account. The first step is to select which library you are a patron of. NOTE: Lourdes is NOT your library for Overdrive. Rather, you need to select “Southeastern Libraries Cooperating” from the dropdown menu. Type the word Southeastern and the correct library will show up. When it does, click on it and…

  7. Login continued …a new box will appear. Here you need to enter the 13-digit barcode from your OVERDRIVE library card. This is separate from your Lourdes student ID/library card. See Mr. Haugen if you have misplace this Overdrive card.

  8. Choose download format Different titles will be available in different download formats (Kindle, ePub, etc.). Be sure to check that the book you want is available in the correct format. The next step from here will depend on the format you choose to download in. If you select “Kindle”, you will be taken to Amazon.com where you will need to login to your personal Amazon account and manage your device from there. If you select ePub, you will be taken to a screen where you can download the book directly to your device.

  9. Overdrive mobile One of the easiest/most convenient ways to access downloadable materials through Overdrive is with the Overdrive Media Console app available for both IOS and Android Devices. Once the app is installed on your device, you can preload your account login information, allowing you to search, select and download from the catalog all in just a couple simple steps.
