  2. OverDrive Consortia • Shared by approx. 200 libraries in Ontario • Available to any library with an ILS system (e.g. JASI) • Library Card Manager (with a population of under 100,000)

  3. OverDrive Consortia • Ebooks added in November 2010, Music and Video added in 2011 • Project Gutenburg titles now available • Libraries can add own collection – OverDrive Advantage • Participation in 2012 based on a fee schedule

  5. The Collection… so far • To date: 42,137ebooks, 10,938 audiobooks • 88 Music titles, 141 Video titles • Audiobooks - WMA Audiobooks, MP3 Audiobooks • Ebooks - EPUB eBooks, PDF eBooks(Can return Ebooks early!) • 7 or 14 day loans – patron chooses

  7. Features Download to a Windows or Mac computer and popular mobile devices and ereaders - Apple iPod,Sony Reader, Kobo, etc. Accessibility features included for the visually impaired.

  11. In Library - Download Station • Enables a public library PC with Internet access to become aself-service kiosk for audiobooks and music. • Makes it easy for users to download and transfer audiobooks directly to their compatible devices.  • Download speed depends on internet connections

  12. Considerations • ONLY reflects audiobook and music content, as eBooks are not supported at the Download Station at this time • You do need to assign a computer to be the download station • Staffing issues
