Review • CSR definition: Expressed as “The NEC Way” • NEC Group Corporate Vision, Vision 2017, Value, Charter of Corporate Behavior, Code of Conduct • Distinctive feature of its CSR: Clearly says, “At NEC, we consider CSR initiatives to be inseparable from corporate activities.” • Main stakeholders: Customers, Shareholders and other investors, Business partners, Local communities, Employees • Additional points in CSR: Includes Information Security, and Business Continuity Plan

  6. What sort of CSR report? – Against the 15 points • Points of improvement • Missing info: Bench marking against competitors, CSR Budget – Though not many companies publish such info. • Key indicators of progress and impact – Need more info. on impacts, though difficult to measure.

  7. Conclusion • Information well aligned with « international standards » • User friendliness in web site and information sorting to be further improved.
