  4. Community Consultation • Planning for Real meeting May 2008 • Making it Real meeting March 2011 • Udny Parish Improvement Project 23/24th March 2012.

  5. Output from the Planning for Real Event May 2008 (1) Community Action Community events involving music, dance, art and sport. Part support for Development Officer. Creation of a team of volunteers to create, lead and support community activities. Community Organisations Village Halls, Sports Clubs, youth organisations, community clubs, Church. Charitable Support Adoption of a “good cause” out-with the Parish selected by the community, to receive 10%of total income each year.

  6. Output from the Planning for Real Event May 2008 (2) Youth Scholarship Creation of a Scholarship fund to support school leavers broaden their experience through gap year projects. Two scholarships per year will aim to involve at least 50 young people over the life of the project. Environmental Action Development of footpaths, bridleways and links to the regions extensive network of pathways. Improvement of the energy efficiency of public and private buildings within the community with energy audits and energy saving investments. Investigation of other renewable energy projects. Community Health & Wellbeing Provision of facilities within a new Udny community hall to help all ages within the community.

  8. Funding Criteria to be set. • How often are funds transferred to Trust company? (3 Monthly) • How much funds are available at any point in time? (45K per annum Year 1-3) • What funding programmes have the Trust Board agreed to support?

Scoring System • Need to recruit a pool of trust members who will form a virtual sub-committee to assess and score individual applications. • Sub-group must consistently apply set criteria and declare any conflicts of interest. • Process will be automated in the near future. (RGU are conducting feasibility study)

Mentors • Need to recruit a pool of trust members or outside consultants where the skill set is scarce, who will act as mentors for individual applications. • These mentors must not take any active part in the board decision-making process. • A register of mentors and their skills will be held and maintained by the development officer.

  14. Udny Community Trust Company Ltd We have decided that until we gain more experience we will concentrate our funding on activities which will probably have charitable status. These include:- Small grants to local organisations Youth Scholarships Heritage Projects

  15. Udny Community Trust Company Ltd Directors roles: The directors do not have to do all roles but need to ensure all roles are done. They may have personal and family 'interests' They may wish to be involved in a project
