  2. Antarctic The opposite side of the arctic or the opposite side of the earth

  3. Antipode A place that is the opposite side of the earth from another place

  4. Arctic Area located north of the arctic circle

  5. Latitude Lines on a map or globe running east or west


  6. Longitude Lines on a map or globe running north and south

  7. Equator Line of latitude that divides the earth into two equal parts

  8. Prime Meridian Starting point for measuring longitude

  10. International Date Line Longitude = 180 east and west. Location on the earth where day and date change

  11. Hemisphere Hemi means half; sphere means orb or ball
