  4. Honors Procedures • All students wishing to be enrolled in an Honors course must fill out an application which will be reviewed by a panel of teachers. • Any student not accepted into an Honors course will automatically be placed in an academic section.

BHS STEM • The most rigorous educational path BHS has to offer • Provides opportunity to research, study, and job shadow future career interests • 8 AP Courses • 2 year long projects during junior and senior year • AP Capstone (English courses to replace junior year and senior year English credits)

  16. BHS STEM Prerequisites • Sophomore year: • Advanced Math (H) • Chemistry 1 (H) • AP Physics 1 • (3.5 credits) Freshman year: • Algebra II • Geometry • Integrated Science (3.5 credits) Students may also be eligible for the STEM program if approved by the High School Principal.

  18. STEEM – Bloomsburg University The STEM Magnet Program allows high-achieving high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to get a head start on a college career in the STEM disciplines. The program offers a choice in four areas of focus: technology, engineering, education, or health sciences. It also gives students interested in math or other sciences the tools needed to be successful in college.

  20. Other Information • Completed Scheduling Sheets are due Friday, April 21st • Honors Applications are due Friday, April 21st • Parent Meeting will be Wednesday, April 12th at 6:30pm in the High School Auditorium
