Presentation of RURCT network

This initiative focuses on promoting rural innovations to enhance territorial cohesion. The project seeks to provide operational tools for the capitalization and transfer of good practices among similar territorial structures, particularly those at the NUTS II level. The event "Projets en campagne" in Limoges aims to showcase local strategies for attracting new populations and facilitate experience exchange among regional decision-makers from the Massif Central area. The target audience includes member regions of the RUR@CT network, emphasizing collaborative efforts in rural development and cohesive regional growth.

    8. Transfer of good practices is possible possible only between similar structures having the same missions, responsabilities and capacities of action Partners with a status of regional public authority (or equivalent bodies) in priority at NUTS II level

Date : 25 June 2009 (just before the event « Projets en campagne » held on 26 & 27 June) Place : Limoges Objectives : - discovering the event « Projets en campagne » and the way it is organized - detailed presentation of the Limousin’s «Local Points for attracting new populations » - exchange of experiences with reginal decision makers from Massif Central area Target public : - Member Regions membres of RUR@CT network interested by this theme

Reinforcement of the partnership with DG REGIO => Operational level (objective « territorial cooperation », INTERREG…) => Strategic level (Regions for economic change, Territorial Cohesion…) Possible avenues of partnership with DG AGRI => Synergies and complementarities with « European Rural Network » - Participation to expert group - Limousin representing AER (as RUR@CT leadpartner) in Steering Committe

Collaboration with AER, CEMR, Committee of the Regions => Exchange of informations, and dissemination / communication => Participation to working groups => Organization of seminars and conferences European projects of cooperation linked with RUR@CT => 7th Framework Programme (RURALJOBS) => Interreg IVC (RURALAND, SEN@ER, ROBINWOOD)

    33. A better operational efficiency … => better coordination and capacity to act, shared budget for common logistics spendings (multilateral transfer) A more participatory governance … => decision-making shared, better technical and political involvement for the regions, reinforcement of the strategical dimension of the network
