  1. Literary Khrystynivka It seems our generous land is rich in all what the nature of Prydniprovia has. It is famous for vast steppe, thick woods, young forests and gardens in blossem. Our land is rich in talents and natural gifts. It gave the world heroes of war and labour, writers and poets, academicians and generals, inventors, designers and scientists. The name of Alexander Korniychuk has been associated with Khrystynivka for a long time. He is our fellow townsman. He was a famous Ukrainian playwright. One of two schools, a park and a square of our town were named after him. He took an active part in public and state life. He was an academician of Academy of Science of Ukraine and a member of World Peace Council. He was awarded five state prizes and the International Peace Prize. He is known not only in Ukraine but in the world. The most famous his works are “Platon Krechet”, “In Steppes of Ukraine”, “Front”, “The Memory of Heart” and many others. Our poet-amateur V.I.Krynytskiy near the poet’s grave on the day when one hundred anniversary was celebrated

  2. The village of Oradivka is a native land for Petro Morhaenko, a Ukrainian humorist and the author of a great number of jokes, topical satire and parodies. The same village gave the world a well-kwown writer and poet Stanislav Zinchuk. Petro Altman was born in the village of Ivanhorod. He was a writer, the author of stories and novels. He died during the World War II in 1941. Alexander Barchuk, a Ukrainian poet , was brought by force to Germany during the World War II. He was born in the village of Zaiachkivka, Khrystynivka district. After the war he stayed in England and lived there. His pen-name was Alexander De. In 1991 he visited Ukraine where he founded Ukrainian Art Fund. Our native land Khrystynivshchyna produced such writers as Klym Tkach, Vasyl Chumak and Viktor Moskaliuk.

  3. We have a literary studio for children in our town. It was established more then twenty years ago. The founder of it is Vitaliy Krynytskiy. He is an amateur poet. And now he works and teaches children to write poems and stories. The young talents from different villages of our district work in this studio. We love our glorious native land and we are proud of it and its people.
