  18. Everyone went to their own town to register.

  19. Bethlehem was the town of David. Joseph and Mary both belonged to the house and line of David.

  20. So Joseph and his wife Mary went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem.

  21. Mary was expecting a baby.

  22. While they were in Bethlehem, the time came for the baby to be born.

  23. There was no guest room available for them.

  24. They found room in a manger.

  25. That night, Mary gave birth to her firstborn, a son.
